Fr. Festus Ejimadu – Bio – I was born in Nigeria and subsequently relocated to the United States after concluding my graduate studies in Philosophy at one of the country’s universities.
Nevertheless, my academic adventures commenced with an entirely distinct aspiration. I encountered the vocation director of the Archdiocese of Detroit (AOD) during my period of study and discernment. My contemplation of the priesthood was initiated by his invitation and direction. The invitation, which was initially straightforward, evolved into a profound understanding of God’s call.
In response to that summons, I accepted the path of priestly formation with faith and trust in Divine Providence. In 1993, I was ordained to the priesthood of Jesus Christ at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, a moment in my life that was both unforgettable and grace-filled.
At present, I am the rector of SS. John and Paul Parish. It is a privilege and a source of pleasure to accompany parishioners on their spiritual journeys, celebrate the sacraments, and guide the faithful. My vocation continues to be a source of gratitude and fulfillment, and I am grateful for the journey that God has guided me on, from Nigeria to a life of service to His Church, through academic pursuits.

Padre Festus Ejimadu – Biografía – Nací en Nigeria y posteriormente me mudé a Estados Unidos tras finalizar mis estudios de posgrado en Filosofía en una universidad del país.
Sin embargo, mis aventuras académicas comenzaron con una aspiración completamente distinta. Conocí al director de vocaciones de la Arquidiócesis de Detroit (AOD) durante mi período de estudio y discernimiento. Mi contemplación del sacerdocio surgió gracias a su invitación y guía. La invitación, inicialmente sencilla, se convirtió en una profunda comprensión del llamado de Dios.
En respuesta a esa llamada, acepté el camino de la formación sacerdotal con fe y confianza en la Divina Providencia. En 1993, fui ordenado sacerdote de Jesucristo en la Catedral del Santísimo Sacramento, un momento inolvidable y lleno de gracia en mi vida.
Actualmente, soy rector de la parroquia de los Santos Juan y Pablo. Es un privilegio y un placer acompañar a los feligreses en su camino espiritual, celebrar los sacramentos y guiar a los fieles. Mi vocación sigue siendo motivo de gratitud y plenitud, y estoy agradecido por el camino que Dios me ha guiado, desde Nigeria hasta una vida de servicio a su Iglesia, a través de mis estudios.
