CALLING ALL QUARTERS!!! As in the past we need quarters for laundry packets. Thank you to all who have been saving them this year. Please bring them in now.
There is just one more week until we begin hosting our MCREST guests!
The volunteer sheets are out in the hallway. Please sign up where you can help.
We will need all items from the giving garden to be brought to church by February 1. This will give us enough time to organize and put packets together.
We are again setting our goal to raise $8,000. This will be used to buy perishable food, bus tickets, items needed by our guests, and support the shelter. The envelopes are in the hallway. Please make the checks out to St/ Francis-St. Maximilian. Put MCREST on the memo line. Anything we raise above $8,000 will be given to the pantry and SVdP.
Our parish has always been so faithful in living the words Jesus said in Matthew 25: 34-45 “….Then the King will say to those on his right “come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will answer him and say Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you. When did we see you ill, or in prison, and visit you?” and the King will say to them in reply, “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Please pray how the Lord wants you to help our neighbors in their time of need. Thank you for your generosity.

¡SE NECESITAN MONEDAS DE 25 CENTAVOS! Como en años anteriores, necesitamos monedas de 25 centavos para los paquetes de lavandería. Gracias a todos los que las han estado guardando este año. Por favor, tráiganlas ahora.
¡Solo falta una semana para que comencemos a recibir a nuestros huéspedes de MCREST!

Necesitamos que todos los artículos del huerto comunitario se traigan a la iglesia antes del 1 de febrero. Esto nos dará tiempo suficiente para organizar y preparar los paquetes.

Nuestra parroquia siempre ha sido muy fiel en vivir las palabras que Jesús dijo en Mateo 25:34-45: «…Entonces el Rey dirá a los de su derecha: “Vengan, benditos de mi Padre, hereden el reino preparado para ustedes desde la creación del mundo. Porque tuve hambre y me dieron de comer; tuve sed y me dieron de beber; fui forastero y me acogieron; estuve desnudo y me vistieron; estuve enfermo y me visitaron; estuve en la cárcel y vinieron a verme”. Entonces los justos le responderán: “Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento y te dimos de comer, o sediento y te dimos de beber? ¿Cuándo te vimos forastero y te acogimos, o desnudo y te vestimos? ¿Cuándo te vimos enfermo o en la cárcel y fuimos a verte?” Y el Rey les responderá: “En verdad les digo que, en cuanto lo hicieron a uno de estos mis hermanos más pequeños, a mí me lo hicieron”».
Por favor, oren para discernir cómo el Señor quiere que ayuden a nuestros vecinos en sus momentos de necesidad. Gracias por su generosidad.
